A round-table around the world

For the second consecutive year, the Caravane des Dix Mots is organizing a round-table on the occasion of the International Women's
Day,
on March 8th, 2022.
Combining Francophonie and women's rights, this year's theme is:
« female genius in the arts and literature »
Artists, writers and Caravan project leaders around the world will speak during two hours, to explore this theme.
In collaboration with the Maison Gabrielle-Roy, who carries the Caravane Canada / Manitoba, the Alliance française du Manitoba organises the round-table in an hybrid format : online and at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

1. The speakers
During this round-table, five women with inspiring backgrounds will share their words around the theme "Female Genius in the arts
and literature".
Here is an overview of our guests:
Lise GABOURY-DIALLO is one of the most important figures in the French-Canadian literature from the West. Professor in the Department of French Studies, Languages and Literature at the University of Saint-Boniface, she will tell us about her vision of female genius in literature.
LEM, FISPA slam finalist and writer at heart, she slams on her childhood ravaged by alcoholism and the violence of her family universe. Passionate about the French language, she writes especially to make sense of her inner ruins.
Dominique REYNOLDS, is a classical pianist player and grew up listening to French pop music from the 1960s. Her sources of musical inspiration? Spirit of the West and Leonard Cohen. Her musical writing will know how to charm you during this event.
Salmatou MANDOU is a Cameroonian slam artist, President of the LAPERCHE association and coordinator of the Cameroon Caravan / Mfoundi. She will address the growing interest of African women in the arts and literature and the means implemented to encourage women to know their rights but also to facilitate their speaking out through the practice of theater and slam.
Marwa EL SAHN is a Doctor of Philosophy, Information and Library Sciences, Director of the Francophone Activities Center of the Library of Alexandria (Egypt) and coordinator of the Egypt Caravan. She will address the topic by giving two examples of her Caravane activities: a song and a play.

The Canadian public will have the opportunity to attend the round-table in person. It's happening at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, in Winnipeg!
You want to participate in the discussion, exchange or simply be a spectator of this
international event? You are invited to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights!
- From 10 am to 11 am you will follow the presentations of the Caravans and speakers around the world on a screen.
- From 11 am to 12 pm, be the actor of the concerns and exchange live the questions-answers between the world and Manitoba.
3. Meet up online
8th March 2022 from 10 am to 12 pm (GMT- 6) | Online (Youtube live)
For the rest of the world, this round-table will be broadcasted live from the YouTube channel of the Caravane des Dix Mots,
then accessible in rebroadcast following the event.
Among the speakers, you will have the pleasure of listening to Marwa El Sahn, Director of the Center for Francophone Activities of the Library of Alexandria, and Salmatou Mandou, Cameroonian slam artist. Both carriers of a Caravan project on their territory, they will share their experiences as artists and coordinators of French-speaking cultural projects. Finally, three more exceptional women from Canada, Lise Gaboury-Diallo, author; Dominique Reynolds, artist; and LEM, slammer, who will join them to share their vision of the Female Genius in the arts and literature.
This event is open to everyone! Do not hesitate to express your impressions and remarks, but also to ask your questions using the YouTube
